Meredith Spencer’s love of horses led her to become involved with Equine Encounters, an equine therapy program that aims to build trust and improve well-being for former soldiers who are experiencing difficulties adjusting back to everyday life. After hearing about the charity, Meredith made the decision to donate her thoroughbred horse Liliana, a strong and friendly Oldenburg warmblood, that she knew would be ideal for the program.
Recently seen on both Channel 7 and Channel 9, Equine Encounters Australia (EEA), based in the Hunter Valley, is fast becoming nationally recognized for its Equine Therapy work with Military Veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
However, EEA offers a much wider range of leadership, team and personal development programs to support individuals, corporate and community groups who are looking for a more authentic and innovate way to approach their challenges. Using the natural, sentient qualities of the horse in the learning process, we’re able to provide highly effective programs that can change thinking and perspectives.
The EEA Team hold one passion and belief –‘Everyone deserves to be the best they can be, whether in their personal or professional life’.
